For many of us, water is something we reach for without thinking — it flows from taps, fills our cups, and supports our daily routines. But for communities inTana River, water is not a convenience but a lifeline.
In this community, a borehole is already in place, drilled by a local livestock farmer who chose to share his water resource with those around him. What remains is a critical final step: installing a solar-powered system that will pump water to families living farther from the source.
This project is about completing a good action that is already rooted in community generosity.
With Ksh 1,500 (or more! wink), you can help a family access clean water — restoring dignity, improving health, and supporting a solution that can serve generations. Our goal is to reach 250 families, and with collective effort, this is entirely within reach.
As the saying goes, “tumekula ng’ombe mzima, tusishindwe na mkia.” No pun intended, especially because our project initiator is a livestock farmer!
