Elimu ProgramAbout Busara
Busara Empowerment Organization began when three friends, who had personally benefited from educational sponsorship programs, set out to pay that blessing forward. What started as a modest student-led fund in 2017 has grown into a registered non-profit driving education, health, water, and sustainable projects across Kenya. Guided by Islamic values, Busara serves everyone regardless of religion, ethnicity, or background working with partners who share our commitment to dignity and hope.

Busara runs multiple community-centered programs focused on essential needs and economic empowerment.
Uhai — Water, Sanitation & Health
What started with drilling 40 shallow wells has grown into a mission of wellbeing uniting communities through health camps, sanitation support, and hygiene education for a healthier Kenya.
Elimu — Education Support
Scholarships for high school and stipends for tertiary students, madrassa resources, and guidance to secure external scholarships. We support academic & religious education access
Inua — Economic Empowerment
Financial literacy, ICT training, mentorship programs, and sustainable income projects to reduce donor dependency and promote self-reliance.
Ukarabati — Rebuilding & Renovation
Renovation of mosques, community centers, and schools with furniture, carpets, solar panels, and youth-safe spaces to encourage positive community engagement
Fadhili — Kindness & Relief Initiatives
Ramadhan iftars, Qurbani (Udh’hiya) distribution, Aqiqa support, in-kind gifts (clothes, school supplies), and seasonal relief that fosters community solidarity
